The two-hour tour starts at the pier in the Maille - the green park in the heart of the city. From there it goes through Little Venice and under the Agnes Bridge and past the Pliensauturm (Pliensau Bridge). At the Bäckermühlen Weir, the guests leave the boat for a few minutes. At this point, the double Canadian canoe goes down the boat slide alone. Then the passengers get back on board and continue through Little Manhatten and Little Amazon. Once out on the open river, it continues 1.8 km to the lock. There the boat is loaded onto a boat cart. After 250 m it goes on, past the Esslingen open-air swimming pool and through the Water House. The tour ends at the Weir House - shortly before the Shepherd's Weir.
During the Big Canadian Canoe Tour, two Canadian canoes are tied together to make a catamaran, using a standardized interlinking procedure. In this way, up to 20 people can travel together. The stability of the boats is increased. A helmsman on board is in command and explains the sights.
